Many of my happiest memories growing up are centered around reading. The walk to the local library, the feel of my index finger skimming each spine as I slowly walked the shelves, my right ear resting on my shoulder as I read the titles, waiting for the next 12 hours to present itself to me. Fast forward 20… 30… 40 years and my favorite pastime remains the same, but as I’ve grown from merely a consumer to a seasoned writer, reading has become an opportunity to learn more about my craft.
